On Nov. 17, Alliance Executive Vice President John Tintera interviewed with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) regarding what Trump’s presidency will mean for the energy industry, and for the planet as a whole.
Though many of his remarks were omitted, John credited hydraulic fracturing with a large reduction in emissions. He explained in detail that the natural gas produced by fracing was replacing coal for electric generation, and that natural gas is much “cleaner burning” than other fossil fuel alternatives.
The overall tone of the BBC interview was anti-industry, so John’s inclusion in the piece came as a welcome surprise. His remarks can be heard at the 15:45 mark.
